THE DISAPPOINTING BEAST? | Movie Review | English Guru Campus

Nelson Dileepkumar is a super hit director who has won the trust of South Indian film lovers with his films Kolamavu Kokila and Doctor.  The news that he is teaming up with Dalapathi Vijay has created a lot of hype.  Anyway, the team has reunited and the movie Beast has been released worldwide today.  The Beast is a stylish mass film produced by Sun Pictures.  Pooja Hegde plays the lead role in the film, which is being directed by Nelson himself.  The Beast is set to be one of the biggest films of Dalpati Vijay's career.  This movie is distributed in Kerala by Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames.

The important question is whether the film Beast was able to deliver what the audience expected from Nelson, who was gifted with very interesting films.  Vijay will be seen in the role of Veeraraghavan, a military spy.  The film tells the story of Veeraghavan, who happens to be among the captives when a group of people hijack a mall, and how he rescues those trapped there.  Filled with action and excitement, it tries to incorporate the film's storytelling in a good way, including the fun moments involved, including those trapped there.
Nelson is set to make a mass action-comedy entertainer film that will captivate Dalapathi fans.  But Nelson was not entirely successful.  Although the first half of the film was interesting, the second half and the climax turned out to be very disappointing for the audience.  The script, which tried to combine action and comedy, failed miserably.  What affected the film was that none of the comedies worked out.  Although the action scenes are good, Nelson, as a writer and director, fails to satisfy the audience in any way, either in direction or storytelling.  Only the screen presence of Dalapathi Vijay can be taken as a positive of the film.  It has to be said that the script of this film was shot without any sense of purpose.
The life of this film is the best performance of Dalapathi Vijay.  Vijay's performance as Veeraraghavan in this movie is very noticeable.  The comedy scenes and mass action scenes were successful and well done by him.  Vijay's perfection in action scenes is noteworthy.  While heroine Pooja Hegde did her part flawlessly, Selva Raghavan, Aparna Das, Yogi Babu, Shine, Tom Chacko, Pukazh and Ankur Vikal, who gave life to other characters, did not make their roles worse.  Malayalee actors Shine Tom Chacko and Aparna Das did well in their respective roles.  But it is also important to note that due to the shortcomings of the script, no one except Vijay has the space to do exactly that.  Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer for this film.  He presented a very colourful and stylish look.  Anirudh Ravichandran composed the music for the film.  Anirudh's background music and Manoj Paramahamsa's excellent visuals are just two of the few positives.  R Nirmal is the editor of the film.  The lack of script has greatly affected the flow of the film.  An editor can't overdo it and give the film a flow.
In a nutshell, Beast is a movie that fans of Dalapathi Vijay can see throughout the movie and that's it.  This film also gives disappointment to those who approach the film with any hope.  The truth is that director and writer Nelson was the most disappointed with Beast.
