CBI 5 THE BRAIN | Movie Review | English Guru

Sethuramayyaar, a CBI officer played by mega star Mammootty, is one of the most popular characters in the history of Malayalam cinema. Mammootty has starred as Sethuramayyaar, a CBI officer in the four-part series of CBI films written by SN Swamy and directed by K Madhu. The four parts are a CBI diary kurip, Jagratha, Sethuramayya CBI and Nerarian CBI. Now, the fifth film in the series is out. The fifth part of the Mammootty-K Madhu-SN Swamy team is titled 'CBI 5 The Brain'. Swargachithra, a popular production company, has made a comeback to Malayalam with this film. Therefore, it must be said that this CBI film had high expectations from the audience.

As it is an intense Investigation Thriller, it would not be appropriate to reveal the plot or further details of such a film. However, the story goes that Sethuramayya and his team are once again coming to Kerala to investigate a case that has caused a stir in Kerala. What sets the film apart from the crime scene is a murderous style called basket killing. This film shows the intelligent Sethurammayyar cope with this new challenge and how he unrolls its scrolls.

Director K Madhu, who returned after a hiatus, shows us that his talent for preparing investigation thrillers has not gone unnoticed. He has been able to tell this detective story in a way that gives the audience excitement and goosebumps. He was able to portray the character of Sethuramayyar, who had already made a name for himself in the audience, once again without losing any of its grandeur. The visual language provided by K Madhu was excellent for a very good screenplay written by an experienced writer named SN Swamy. SN Swamy's meticulousness as a writer and K Madhu's skill as a director are the biggest successes of this film. They were able to tell the story very quickly, without getting bored even for a moment. The investigation thriller draws attention to the fact that the film manages to present them with all the thrill, twist and excitement that the audience expects from a CBI investigation film. The film manages to capture the essence of the dialogue, the intellectual play and the mass scenes.

Another highlight of the film is the performance of actor Mammootty. For that evergreen CBI officer character that the audience always has in mind, he brought to life as beautifully as they could have wished. Although Sethuramayyar is not a challenging character for him now, he portrayed this character in a magnificent way. The energy and screen presence he shows at this age is impressive. While Ranji Panicker, Sai Kumar and Mukesh did their part beautifully, the other stars were Saubin Shahir, Anoop Menon, Dileesh Pothen, Ramesh Pisharody, Prathap Pothen, Santosh Keezhatoor, Aziz Nedumangad, Harish Raju, Edavela Babu, Asha Sharath, Menon, Ansiba, Malavika Nair, Maya Vishwanath, Sudev Nair, Prashanth Alexander, Ramesh Kottayam, Jayakrishnan, Swasika, Suresh Kumar, Chanthu Karamana, Sminu Artist, Sophie M Joe and Tandoor Krishna also brought their characters to the screen in the best possible way.

While Akhil George, who handled the camera, garnered attention with his excellent visuals, Jakes Bijoy, who reworked the famous CBI theme music and composed the background music, also shone. The background music that Shyam, the music director, gave us years ago, takes the energy level of the film to another level, as it always has. Sreekar Prasad, an experienced editor, was instrumental in giving the film the speed and technical perfection required for a thriller film.

In short, CBI 5 The Brain has been able to give us a great cinematic experience. We can definitely say that this is a very thrilling investigation film. The film is sure to satisfy Sethuramayya fans and thriller fans alike.
