Guru has come to Malayalam movie lovers today with the movie MalayanKunjhu starring young actor Fahadh Faasil. Directed by debutant Sajimon, the film is scripted by super hit director and editor Mahesh Narayanan. Produced by Fahadh's father and famous director Faasil, this film stars Rajisha Vijayan and Jaffer Idukki in lead roles. Malayankunju is a survival thriller film which we have not seen much in Malayalam cinema. Anshasha, who presented the trailer and the making video of the film, raised the expectations of the audience. The film has managed to do hundred percent justice to the expectations that have been raised.
The film revolves around the life of Anil Kumar, played by Fahad Fazil. It is also a film that tells the story against the backdrop of a natural disaster. Anikuttan works as an electronics technician. For Ani Kuttan, who is immersed in work from early morning, even the slightest sound can disturb his work. Ani Kuttan is a person who makes even the crying of the baby in the neighborhood a problem. Ani Kuttan's character also changed when his father committed suicide when his younger sister eloped with a man of a different caste. This film tells about Ani Kuttan, who is struggling with anything, falls into a landslide and the events that follow.

We can say that Malayan Kunju is a film that travels in new ways. This is a type of film that we have not seen in Malayalam cinema till now. With this film, director Sajimon has done an extraordinary presentation of a very thrilling survival story. While being different as a survival thriller, it is also a film that tells the story in an interesting and suspenseful manner with unique characters. This film is very different from the format of thriller films that we are used to seeing, with little humor, emotional moments, suspense and fear. The biggest strength of this film is the believable story line script by seasoned talent Mahesh Narayan. When Sajimon created a technically and artistically magnificent visual language for the script, Malayan Kunju became a magnificent cinematic experience that goes through very intense situations. In the first half, the baby's crying is a nuisance, and in the second half, Ani Kuttan's way of survival and life's hope has been expressed in a very beautiful way.

Fahadh Fazil gave an amazing performance as Anikutan. Although it can be said that it is a cliched praise to say that Fahad portrayed the character with ease, but when Fahad brings the character to life on screen with such perfection, we cannot immediately say anything other than the word ease. Fahad made every subtle change in Anikutan's body language as effortless as picking a flower. In the underground scenes, Fahadh Faasil gave an incredible performance from that confined space. It's a great performance from Fahad himself, and Jafar Idukki does a minor job as Muralidharan. Similarly, Rajisha Vijayan, Indrans, Jaya Kurup, Deepak Parambol, Arjun Ashokan, Johnny Antony and Irshad also gave the best performance for this film. Rajisha as Karthika and Indrans as Surendran in a short period of time should be mentioned.
It can be said that the music composed by music wizard AR Rahman helped to keep the atmosphere of the film exciting till the end and his songs also made the MalayanKunju great. AR Rahman has composed a magnificent background score that sinks into the minds of the audience the state of the characters. It should be mentioned that the scenes composed by Mahesh Narayanan have also helped the director a lot in conveying the feel of the film to the audience. Mahesh Narayanan has brought the scenes of natural disasters and the horror of underground scenes to the minds of the audience in such a good way. Editing done by Arju Ben gives the film a great pace.

Malayan Kunju is an epic survival thriller that keeps the audience on edge of excitement. This movie gives the audience a different movie experience from all the tired thriller movies. Coupled with Fahadh Faasil's spectacular performance, high technical standards and some never-before-seen visuals, Malayan Kunj literally won the hearts of the audience.
